Inflammation is when the body naturally fights against things that can hurt it. These things can be infections, injuries, toxins, and illnesses. All of which lead to severe conditions in the future such as cancer, acne, and cognitive decline.
Chronic inflammation seems to become more and more of a problem as it is the root of most health problems. In order to save ourselves for the future, it is important to take into consideration what in your life could be leading to inflammation.

1.) How you recover from workouts could lead to inflammation
Unfortunately, many people are unaware of the importance of recovering from a solid workout properly. Sore muscles are a huge indicator of acute inflammation. Rather than going hard on a regular basis, try going moderately to avoid inflammation. Take it easy sis!
2.) Dairy can cause inflammation depending on the person
Scientific studies show dairy does indeed cause inflammation in those with an allergy or intolerance. But otherwise, inflammation is low or non-existent. If you think you may have an allergy consider getting a food allergy test.
Those with dairy allergies are likely to experience some of the following symptoms: gas or bloating after consumption, stomach pain, or bloating. Consult your doctor if you want to learn more.
3.) Exercise for 20-30 minutes
Getting at least 20-30 minutes of exercise a few days a week could protect your body from excess inflammation (that doesn’t have to do with food). If you aren’t a fan of hitting the gym, try yoga, going for a walk, or even walking up and down some stairs. Hey, whatever works.
4.) Add some cinnamon in your life
This sweet spice actually contains a high number of antioxidants which is fantastic for your heart. Studies show cinnamon is a sweet inflammation fighter. Add a dash to your morning coffee, oatmeal, or sweet treat.
5.) Consume foods to combat inflammation
Suzanne Judd PhD, a nutritional epidemiologist, and her team created an inflammatory index for foods. These groundbreaking results were published in the Journal of Nutrition. According to Judd, leafy greens, tomatoes, berries, legumes, and fish are some foods that do the most when it comes to lowering the risk of inflammation.
6.) Add a cup of tea to your daily routine
Green, black, and white teas are high in polyphenols. A.k.a the things that reduce inflammation and boost your immune system. According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, green tea has the highest number of polyphenols. You know what this means…more inflammation-reducing potential! Drink up baby.
7.) Limit or avoid simple carbohydrates
Avoid white foods such as flour, white bread, rice, and pasta. One easy way of doing this is aiming to eat a gluten-free diet. Thankfully, thanks to modern-day wellness, there are plenty of gluten-free options to substitute regular gluten items. Do it for the reduced inflammation!
